Not every client wants a big transformation or an entire lifestyle shift. Some just want to lose some weight then go back to their old ways. If you're looking for a more permanent solution, then it's going to take permanent changes in your daily routine, activities and thought process.
Nutrition is 80% of this process. If you want full time results, then eating right needs to be a full time job. This requires learning the basics of proper nutrition, putting it into the action and making good decisions.
Regular exercise should be a part of every able bodied person's life. I'm a firm believer that you should do something physically challenging every day. This keeps the mind sharp and the body in shape. That's one of the keys to longevity.
Simply put, the body you want is going to be a result of changing the way you do things. It's about developing discipline, work ethic and most importantly cutting back on the things that got you out of shape in the first place.
Balance is your ability to pursue fitness while still doing the other things you enjoy. One place a lot of people get lost is thinking that that balance needs to be 50/50 right from day 1. If you want to make big progress right out of the gate, fitness needs to become a much bigger part of that equation. This is your chance to learn and progress. Get some real results, THEN balance it out more and easily continue it for life. First you will need to buckle down and earn the ability to find more balance.
Making fitness a bigger part of my life, cutting out regular drinking and watching what I eat is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Being happy, healthy and fit makes every other aspect of my life better. Once I commit to something, I go all in. This is how you make big progress with everything in your life. If it's time to focus on your mind, body and mental well being, there's no better way to do it than this.
